These are aromatic compounds containing a carbohydrate moiety glycosidically bound to a coumarin moiety. 7-hydroxy-6-methoxy-8-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-2H-chromen-2-one is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
